Environmental issues face all engine manufacturers. Marine engines have been under constant siege by environmental organizations. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is mandating a 75 percent reduction in outboard hydrocarbon and NOx emissions by 2006. That standard has already been implemented in California, with tougher ones to come in 2008. The JetPac features a clean, direct injected, automotive, four stroke engine. It is designed to meet all federal emissions standards.
